Carson Wentz – Star Brings North Dakota East

Carson Wentz

Carson Wentz is a star. He’s a candidate for MVP this year in the NFL. He has also transformed North Dakota into an Eagles state. Who would think that the 5th overall state in search results on Google for the Eagles, per Google Trends, would be North Dakota.

Jimmy Garoppolo Trade – Two Coasts – Two Stories

Jimmy Garoppolo Trade

Last season was the season of speculation on Jimmy Garoppolo. When would he be traded? How many picks would the New England Patriots receive for him? What pick in the first round would it be? Looking at you Cleveland.

As the off-season progressed and draft night closed, Adam Schefter’s prediction of no-trade came true. Until, Monday night. The San Francisco 49ers sent a 2nd round pick, and maybe promise to release Hoyer, for Jimmy G from the Patriots. Hearts in New England dropped. Hope, in the Bay Area, arrived. Brady wants to keep playing but Jimmy wants to play too.

Stranger Things 2 – Enter the Upside Down

Will someone please send me directions out of the Upside Down…

Last night, “Stranger Things 2” debuted on Netflix. It has been a highly anticipated show across the internet since Season 1. Season 1 was one of the most impressive organic growth stories of a TV show driven largely by word of mouth, the most influential mode of awareness. As I was caught up past my bedtime binge watching through the fourth episode I jotted down a note to recap the launch of this amazing series.

Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees – Game 7 ALCS

As a Red Sox fan, I couldn’t watch the entire game of the ALCS last night and had more concentration on the Fighting Irish & Penn State wins. Curiosity tends to win in the end and had to read the updates this morning…especially with an ASTROS win! #EARNHISTORY

2017 Fall TV Premiere Review – Wednesday Night

Fall TV Premiere Review

We’re working our way through the first week of 2017 Fall TV’s first big week. Now we’re on to Wednesday using Google Trends and Twitter/Trendsmap. If you’re just checking in – start with Sunday & Monday or Tuesday.

Wednesday night was another big night of drops including the heavily promoted CBS Seal Team if you’ve been watching the NFL lately. Per Nielsen and tvseriesfinale.com, “Empire” won the ratings battle but only with a 2.4 in the 18-49 demo. “SEAL Team” was lower with 18-49 at 1.5 but had 9.7M viewers on the older skewing CBS network vs. 6.94M for “Empire”. Not often you see a win for FOX so its been a nice show for them but still dropping 42% year over year – but does match last year’s finale audience.

A much lighter night for one of the top shows for 18-49, “Empire” via trendsmap:
